Dear Friends, I want to thank you for stopping in here to read about the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ. Have you ever wondered, if there is a God, what has he done for me? Have you ever thought, 'Gee Im really a horrible person. Ive done alot of really bad things. God couldn't possibly love me.' Or, on the other hand, have you ever thought, 'I'm going to heaven. I am a good person. I give to people when they need it, and I never stole from anyone or murdered anyone.' Are you one of those people who goes to church every sunday? When you leave, do you ever ask yourself, 'What did I learn today?' Did I please God today for going to church? Am I saved?

If you've ever asked yourself any of these questions, please read these important scriptures.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

1st John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we decieve ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

That's right friends. There is not one man woman or even child (yes, I said child..see at the bottom for details*) that is righteous before God. When you hear the world saying, 'Listen to your heart. Do what your heart says.', God is saying, DO NOT listen to your heart. The heart is WICKED. For those of you who have been convinced by the world that you're a good person, and that a person should have 'self esteem', see these words of the Living God. If we say we aren't sinners, we are LIARS. Nothing we do is good before God! NOTHING! When God sees our good works they are like FILTHY RAGS. (Have you ever had a dishrag in your sink for several days, and it stinks really bad? Imagine what God must see and smell on us!) Some of us knew we were wicked. We kept running from evil to evil, trying to find love, and security, and something solid to cling to. Some of us realized that there isn't anything at all WE can DO anymore. Nothing WE DO seems to change anything. Well, you are right friend. There is nothing we can do. There is not one single good enough work of all the good works that can be done, that is good enough before God. Does that scare you? What does this mean? Ask yourself, What will happen to me, since I'm a sinner before God? Read On.

Hebrews 9:27 And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Revelation 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the fire.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongesr, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It's bad news, isn't it people. We get paid in DEATH for the sins we've committed. Remember, we ALL have sinned. We will BURN FOREVER. Read carefully the last verse posted above. It says "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Notice carefully the word gift. First he said the word "wages". Wages are what you earn. A gift is given freely! We can EARN DEATH. Or, we can be GIVEN LIFE. This is the Good News! Our merciful, mighty God has provided a way for EVERY MAN WOMAN and CHILD to receive ETERNAL LIFE. Recieve it. Not buy it. Not earn it by good works, or church membership. What is this way? Read Romans 6:23 again one more time, and then, Read on.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 3:24-25 Being justified freely by his grae through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25. Whom God hath set forth to be a protptiation through faith in his blood...

Luke 22:19-20 And he took bread and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20. Likewise also the cup after supper saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there savation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 14:6 And Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but my me.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Ephesians 5:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

There it is friends. The good news. The gospel. God provided a way for us to be justified in his sight, despite all of our sin and wickedness. He gave us a free gift, His grace. What does grace mean? It means unmerited favor. Getting something for nothing. God gave us eternal life through Jesus Christ. What did he ask of us? Only to believe. Thats it. Believe that Jesus' blood IS the payment to God in full for all of our sins, and we shall have eternal life. Man was forever separated from God because of sin, when Adam disobeyed God's word. Now, only because of Jesus, Man and God are reconciled, if man has believed. Jesus took the wages of sin for us, people. Remember the wages of sin is death. Jesus, who never ever sinned, not once, took the penalty of OUR sins upon him, and tasted death for you and me, so that we wouldnt have to taste death, but have life eternal with God. What great news this is! How merciful is our God! Would you give your life for someone else, especially if that someone else did nothing but evil toward you? Yet Jesus, God's very flesh (Details about Jesus being the flesh of God will be given in another article. Until then, look up 1st Timothy 3:14, and Acts 20:28), was beaten, whipped, spit on, slapped and mocked, and then nailed up cruelly to suffocate and die, just so unjust wicked sinners could be with God forever. That my friends, is the very core of the definition of grace. And the only thing you and I can do dear friends is belieive it. Read On.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 1:12 But as many as recieved him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 10:9-10,13 That if thou shat confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heat man believth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest in your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Thats all there is to it folks. Call upon his name. Confess him with your mouth. Not to a priest, or a preacher, but confess it to HIM. If you have an aching in your heart to have this eternal life God has promised to those who have believed, tell him this! Pray and tell God you know you're a sinner, unjust in his sight, but that you have heard the good news of Jesus, and believed that his blood has purchased eternal life for you! Thats all it takes my friend. Read again above what Jesus says. He says come to him all ye that labor. Labor is work! Works do not save you! Believe Jesus, and he WILL give you rest! Believe! Believe! Thats all there is to it! What happens to the person who has believed? We already know from above that we receive eternal life. But what does that mean for us right now? It means friend that no matter what happens to you from now on, you WILL be with God in heaven. It means that satan has no power over you anymore. It means that all that wickendess is forgotten, and you are a brand new person. Read on and see!

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Phillipians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I could really go on and on, but I can't give you the whole thing! There is much much more about the wonderful things that begin and never end for the people who trust Jesus and take him at his word.
