Looking for any information on 1. Lou A. Bailey Born May 1850 in South Carolina. (I don't know where in SC) This is according to the 1900 Bartow County, GA census. She was my great grandmother. Died in Bartow County White, GA 1919. Her son Joseph Benjamin Bailey was my grandfather. 2. Benjamin Maxwell -- Bartow County, GA May have been father to Joseph Benjamin Bailey... not sure. Joseph Benjamin Bailey DOB Jan 19 1881 White, GA Wolf Pen Dist. Married Mary Catherine Lee Nov 6th 1904 He died Feb 16th 1938 Buried White GA

Robin Layton of Salt Lake City UT writes. She is researching her LAYTON ancestors. William Layton b 1 Oct 1821 SC m Leanna Lilly Maybin 24 Jan 1854, d. 5 Jan 1898. He is buried at Rowland Springs. In the 1850 census he was living with a LUSK family Is there any descendants of the Smith family that superintend Mr. Samuel Smiths slaves that might have documents that would help to narrow my search. Her MATTHEWS side of the family includes many Masons. Need information on the Masonic Lodge.

Mike Coalson called and is researching his grandmother EASTLING. He finds many Eatherlings but very few Eastlings. He mother was born 1880 and married 1896 in Haralson Co. She married in Paulding Co. and lived in Polk co. near Ceadartown, Fish Creek. In one census. Great Great Grandfather, Thomas Milton Coalson kept a journal covering 1900 to about 1920.

Vic continues that he is searching for info on Pinkney Drummond b about 1810 and his wife Elizabeth w. Delaney, daughter of Jessee and Rebecca Delaney b ca 1820, children listed on 1850 Cass/Bartow Co. census were Sarah 15, Juliaan, 9, Samuel H. 7, Amanda S. 5, Nancy 3, Frances 1, Also had a son named Thomas Monroe Drummond b ca 1851. Pinkney and wife both born in SC. Also would like to know where the community of Iron Hill is.

I am seeking information on Francis Marion CARNES who married Mary C. ALLEN on 20 May 1855 in Bartow County. I have found very little info on him. I do know he was in the Confederate army.
