GA ca 1892-1900 They are buried at New Hope Baptist Church Cem. Acworth, GA they had seven living children,James A. Samuel., Nancy, Wayd, William M., Homer. James Archer m. Lydia Texas Brown, They had 7 children, Francis, Freeman, Dewey, Floyd, Clyde, Authur, and one female Aletha., Robert w. is the son of Clyde. Robert had an only sister Joann.

Thomas J Vaughan b 1843 in GA m Missouri ? they had 3 children, Reuben, Mary, Missouri E., after the 1880 census he married my great grandmother Nancy Jane Collins of Gordon Co. Aug 30 1881. I had a letter from Deb Gattis asking about meanings on certain documents. Especially the lottery books., b means born, c mean ca or about, d mean died, p mean probably born of probably died, m means married, x means was married but wife unknown, sol means soldier, rw means Revolutionary War, GA means Georgia. You will come across these a lot in your research plus many more abbrev. Being the Registrar General of the CSDIW, (Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars) I see all types of abbreviations.

THACKER: Betty Beem e-mail bbeem@ccgnv.net is researching Joel Thacker family who supposedly lived in Bartow Co ca 1866 to ? Son William Newton was born in or near Adairsville in 1866.

TEDDER: Ronald Eatman e-mail Ronald.Eatman-1@pp.ksc.nasa.gov writes to thank the Bartow Genealogical Society for information sent to him on Willis, Gertrude and Retha Tedder. I had sent him some information from the Death Records we have in the Family Research Library and he writes that they are much better than death certificates.

THOMPSON- ADAIR- LYNCH- MARTIN- FIELDS- Martha Gibson Lee of Kilgore Tx writes to share some information on the Thompson family that married into the Cherokee people., Benjamin Franklin Thompson, James Allen Thompson, Rachel Thompson, William Thompson, Johnson Thompson, these brothers and sisters married Cherokee in Cass County as early as 1804. Cherokee names were: Adair, Lynch, Martin, and Fields. I will be happy to share what I have. (note: As many of you know that my 3rd great grandfather was Samuel Thompson from East Tennessee, Blount County and a Patriot of the Revolutionary War. He had sons that came to Cass County . They were both Methodist and Presbyterian and they came here with John McTyre, whose son went on to Missouri with the Crockett family also from Mecklenburg and Cass Co. in the Stamp Creek area.)

TURNER - COWARD: Lynne Smith Neal from Seale Ala. Is so excited, she writes that she has located her H.G.B. Turner that founded the Olive Vine Baptist Church, Pine Log, Bartow Co. GA through my articles and correspondence she visited the Family Research Library and found so much more that she had hoped for.
