SE, Calhoun, GA 30701 gave me a group sheet on her ancestor, Robert Frank Bailey b 1862 in either NC or SC married 29 Aug 1882 Bartow Co. and died 1916 in GA bur. Floyd GA, His father was Jim Bailey, he married Nancy Caroline Wright b 1864 in GA and d in Mar 1923 in GA, her father was Henry Wright and Mother was Betsy Riddle. Children were Quincy C. married to 1st Mary Margaret Stone and 2nd Viola Carter, Washington, John W. married Lena Bowling, Mary b, married Turner Worsham, Buna B., married Luther B. Wright, Homer B., married Zoe Hopper, Allen W. married Mary Self, Robert F married 1st Vera Burley, and Albert, lived only 2 months. Need to fill in some missing links.

WADE, BROADWATER, Lynda at lwilson@life.edu is looking for info on Ada Wade that married Joseph Meriweather Broadwater on 6 Nov 1877 in Bartow Co. Need her parents names, she is buried in Kingston Cem. He is buried in Myrtle Hill cemetery in Rome.

CARSON, GREEN, Judy at Vafeas@aol.com would like info on William Hillman Carson, b 1860 in NC m. Amanda Green b. 1864. They lived in Cartersville area around 1`900. Judy’s grandfather Robert Maxwell Carson was born at White GA May 10, 1905. Amanda Green’s parents were Thomas Calvin Green and Elizabeth Ann Plott.

John G Vern and wife Margaret was a daughter of Jabez Galt and Wife Frances Ballinger Machen, John was supposed to have been the over seer for a Brown who owned a large plantation around Pine Log.

Her grandfather was royal Clyde Poindexter. He died in 1958. His father was Dr. Thomas Jefferson Johnson from Albermarle Co. VA. He married Mary Francis Hudson, daughter. Of Larkin Rutherford Hudson and Mary Stevenson Wingfield.

Deem died 10/25/1918. They are bother buried in Taylorsville. at the Old Bethel Crossroads Cem. What was Lasier Deem's maiden name?

On mothers side. Mary Frances Knight Hill born 1865 died 1935, her husband was John Hill and his father was Amnual Hill.

BRIGHTWELL: DRUMMOND: Charles at ccbwell@lcc.net is seeking information on his great grandmother that died in Ligon, Bartow Ga. On Aug 9, 1891. Her daughter was Mary Freeman, Grandmother was S A Drummond. She had returned to GA from TX in 1890.

EAVES-BAYLIS-LEWIS: Elaine is looking for anyone researching the Baylis Lewis line. She says they are prominent names in her family line of Eaves. There was a child named Baylis and his brother was Lewis. Their father was Burrell Eaves and received land in the 1832 Cherokee Land Lottery. Would like more info on the Baylis Lewis family.

With the parents Joab Wilson and wife Ester Jefferys, they came from SC about 1867; my father was Clyde Winfield Wilson.

He was born in Cartersville and still has a few kinfolk's and friends left there. I am researching the Cary (Carey) family, also Speers and Tinsley. My grt. Grandfather was George William Carey 1831-1865, a CSA veteran who moved from Laurens, Abbeville Counties SC to Bartow and Gordon Counties in the 1850's. His wife was Othella Mellissa Speer, later married J C Tumlin. Their children were Alice who married M C Nelson and Georgia W who married my grandfather Thomas Warren Tinsley of Cartersville.
