This is my spring 2000 project. What a rainy nasty day but I don't guess there is a better kind of day to dig in clay. Nice a pliable.

Day 2 and thank goodness the rain has stopped. I used my old liner as protection for the new. I have used all the excess liner I could to protect the liner from the rocks I will be putting on top. The ground is almost pure clay in the bottom so I am leaving that as is.

Time for the water to go back in. From the time I started draining til I was refilling was a little more then a day. But that day was a very long one.

Yeah 1 full pond, now for the filter. I can't help myself my filter is going to be a 3rd pond with the pump under a layer of lava rock.

Notice the kids pool in the background. Not much of a home but the fish seemed to do OK til I could get them back in their place.

The first rough draft is complete. The cap is not yet complete but I have the summer to get everything back the way it needs to be, so come back soon and see how this turns out.
