Subject: RST! RP's and House MouseRadiant Pearls are my favorite medium for coloring House Mouse images.
Faces/Feet/Tail: Angel Face for all over, and then Autumn Leaf for cheeks and nose as well as highlights for feet and tail (along with some Mahogany).
Brown Body: Start with a thin coating of Nutty Oak and use Mahogany for darker tones.
Grey Body: A mixture of Silver Bells, Abalone Grey and Silent Night to shade.
As far as backgrounds/white space around the mice, there are two major techniques:
1. Masking with RP's: Put down a thick layer of Icy Mocha over the entire mouse. Stipple in your background (I put a halo of Sour Lemon and Mango Freeze around the mouse and then my background color thereafter). Go back and remove (with a paintbrush) the icy mocha mask and paint in your mouse.
2. Embossing: Paint your mouse and put some clear (or detail clear--my preference) powder over the wet RP's. Emboss. The embossing will act as a resist and you can stipple the background in to your heart's desire. I did this with the house mouse card I have on my web site:

Subject: RST! coloring House Mice with Radiant PearlsI have used those colors along with Abalone Grey. All great choices for House Mouse and RP's.

Icy Mocha and Tiger Eye work well for the lighter shading on HM too.
From Barbara Frascello: Today I painted a House Mouse with Wacky Walnut and I thought the color was great.

You can also Brayer on an assortment of colors once you emboss. *If you use old cd's as a paint palette, just run your brayer over the palettes and apply to your cs! Slick and quick
