Lee District Park and RECenter, 6601 Telegraph Road, Franconia (Alexandria), VA 22310, is located 2.5 miles south of Exit 176 A of the Capital Beltway, I-495/95).

FROM North: Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway, I-495/95, and take the exit to Richmond (VA).  Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.  Exit 176 A is the second exit after the bridge, Telegraph Road South.  Follow Telegraph Road for 2.5 miles to the entrance on the left (there is a light).

FROM South: Take I-95 North to the Capital Beltway, I-495/95 at Springfield (VA). Continue on 95 North/495 East toward Baltimore--NOT Tysons Corner.  Exit 176A is the third exit after you get onto the Beltway toward Baltimore.  Follow Telegraph Road for 2.5 miles to the entrance on the left (there is a light).

FROM THE SHOW HOTEL: Go North on Route 1 to Huntington Avenue, just before the exits onto the Capital Beltway (I-495/95).  Turn left onto Huntington Avenue and continue to the intersection with Telegraph Road.  Turn left onto Telegraph Road for 2.5 miles to the entrance on the left.

IMPORTANT:  The show will be in the gym, which is all the way at the end of the RECenter building.  Drive past the building.  You will see the gym as you go down the hill; it is a 2-story facility with a large round window and white columns at the entrance.  You can unload and then park in the parking lots in the gym area.  The Park will have other activities going on during the weekend, and they have asked us to stay in the gym area.

The Days Inn is located 2 miles south of Alexandria, at I-495/95 and Route 1 South, Exit 177 A.  The address is 6100 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22303.  This is one exit away from the show hall exit.

FROM North: Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway, I-495/95, and continue toward Richmond (VA).  Cross the Woodrow Wison Bridge.  Exit 177A is the first exit after you cross the bridge.  Turn South onto Route 1.  The Days Inn is 1 mile (3 traffic lights) on the right.

FROM South: Take I-95 North to its juncture with the Capital Beltway, I-495/95, at Springfield.  Continue on I-95 North/495 East toward Baltimore (not Tysons Corner).  Exit 177A is the fourth exit after you get onto the Beltway.  Turn South onto Route 1.  The Days Inn is about 1 mile (3 stoplights) on the right.

ALTERNATE SOUTHERN ROUTE: Northbound traffic at the Springfield Interchange is slowed by construction.  You can exit I-95 North at the Ft. Belvoir/Mt. Vernon exit (a brown sign) south of Springfield.  This takes you to Route 1 and local traffic, but you may save some time, especially on Friday night.  Take Route 1 North to just before its intersection with I-495/95 (several miles and lots of stoplights).  Days Inn is on the right 3 stoplights from the intersection with The Capital Beltway.

FROM THE SHOW HALL: Turn right onto Telegraph Road (north) and go about 2 miles to Huntington Avenue (4^th traffic light from the show hall, just before the exits to the Capital Beltway).  Turn right onto Huntington Avenue and follow it to its intersection with Route 1.  Turn right onto Route 1.  The Days Inn is less than a mile on the right.

NOTE:  The Red Roof and several other hotels are located on Route 1 South, near the Days Inn. Follow these directions.  To get to hotels on Eisenhower Avenue (Holiday Inn), stay on Telegraph Road, go  under the Capital Beltway toward Alexandria and follow signs to hotels.

LOCAL DIRECTIONS TO AVOID SPRINGFIELD INTERCHANGE

LOCAL ROUTE FROM I-495, COMING FROM MARYLAND TO VIRGINIA: To avoid the Springfield interchange, exit the Beltway at Braddock Road West, exit 54A.  Continue for approximately 2 miles to the intersection with Rolling Road North.  Turn left at the light and follow Rolling Road approximately 2 miles to its intersection with Old Keene Mill Road, Route 644.  Turn left onto Old Keene Mill Road, heading East.  At about 3.5 miles, Route 644 turns into Franconia Road, where it crosses I-95 at Springfield Mall.  Go through the intersection of Franconia Road and South Van Dorn Street, and continue about ½ mile to Rose Hill Blvd. (a Post Office and a McDonald’s on the right), and turn right at the light.  Continue to the intersection with Telegraph Road, and go through the light to the Lee District Park.

NOTE FOR LOCALS: You can also get to the REC Center from South Van Dorn Street at Exit 173 of the Beltway.  Go South (toward Franconia Road), and at the big intersection of South Van Dorn St. and Franconia Road  (Edison High School), turn left onto Franconia Road (644 East).  Continue ½ mile to Rose Hill Blvd., turn right at the light, and continue to the intersection with Telegraph Road, at the Lee District Park.
