What should you expect (and not expect) when you read these articles? First, don't look for cheap thrills. I am not prone to fiery rhetoric, unbridled sarcasm, or foul language. (Well, there will be the occasional pun...) Also, if you've already taken a stand on a particular issue, my analysis may disappoint you. I don't believe there are many absolutes in this imperfect world, so I'll usually concentrate on what works and what doesn't, rather than what fits a predetermined position. (By the way, being a Christian is one thing that works for me. I don't intend to preach at you, but I won't hide my beliefs either. If that offends you, don't read these columns -- or better yet, read them and send a rebuttal. If it's concise and well-reasoned, I promise to display it.) In short, if you appreciate a calm presentation of a point of view you may not have considered, this is your kind of place.
