I'm really not an addict, There is no need to shout; But talking with my puter friends, Has turned my life about.
I still do the grocery shopping, And make a bed or two; But instead of staring at TV, I spend some time with you.
I go with friends or family, To dinner or a show; I take the time to hear my kids, Or to watch a flower grow.
But yes, you'll find me off and on, Sitting on my puter chair; And talking to my cyber friends, Who always seem to care.
There are redeeming qualities, And hear me if you will; Since playing in this cyber world, I've improved keyboarding skill.
In fact I feel at peace with life, Things are going well; The only thing it hasn't done, Is teach me how to spell.
The Law Of Life (Author Unknown)
Whatever you give away today or think or say or do will multiply about tenfold and then return to you.
It may not come immediately, nor from the obvious source, but the LAW applies unfailingly through some invisible force.
Whatever you feel about another, be it love or hate or passion, will surely bounce right back to you in some clear or secret fashion.
If you speak about some person, a word of praise of two, soon tons of other people will speak kind words to you.
Our thoughts are broadcasts of the soul, not the secrets of the brain. Kind ones bring us happiness, petty ones, untold pain.
Giving works as surely as reflections in a mirror. If hate you send, hate you'll get back, but loving brings love nearer.
Remember, as you start this day, and duty crowds your mind, that kindness comes so quickly back, to those who first are kind!
Let that thought and this one Direct you through each day.... The only things we ever keep are the things we give away!
"That miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth in the present moment, to appreciate he peace and beauty that are available now... It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice."
A Funny....
Elementary, My Dear Watson (Author Unknown)
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. As they lay down for the night, Holmes asked: "Watson, look up into the sky and tell me what you see".
Watson said "I see millions and millions of stars".
Holmes: "And what does that tell you?"
Watson: "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Theologically, it tells me that God is great and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it tells me that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"
Holmes: "Elementary, my dear Watson. Somebody stole our tent".
WHY WE'RE SO TIRED
For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep and too much partying, but now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked.
The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work.
There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work. Of these there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work.
2.8 million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from that total the 14,8 million people who work for state and city governments and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.
At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work.
You and me.
And you're sitting there reading jokes.
