| THE BASICS GENDER: Female BIRTHDATE: March 9, 1969 MARITAL STATUS: Divorced (Final - March, 2006 - after 5 years of marriage) CHILDREN: None PETS: Yes -- I love my pets! SENSE OF HUMOR: I can be really serious and intense at times, but I really love to laugh! :-) My friends have told me that I have a great sense of humor; that they find me witty and, at times, a "goofball". SOCIAL SETTINGS: I can be shy and reserved, but I like to socialize / mingle and have a good time. I'm more comfortable in one-on-one settings or small groups than I am in large crowds of people. EDUCATION: College Grad (BS degree) with some Post-Grad training CAREER: Health Educator and Infection Control Practitioner for a public health agency -- I really do love my job! :-) RELIGION: Roman Catholic POLITICAL AFFILIATION: More of a Democrat / Liberal than a Republican, but I can't say I really identify with one particular party over another -- it all depends on the issue and the candidate! ASTROLOGICAL SIGN: Pisces -- OH MY GOSH, I am SUCH a Pisces! :P LANGUAGE SKILLS: English is my primary language. I had several years of Spanish class but am not as proficient in Spanish as I would like. HOBBIES & INTERESTS READING: I love to read. Patricia Cornwell is one of my favorites, but I'm not stuck on any one particular genre, so I read a wide range of authors / subjects. My co-workers invited me to join their book club -- it's great because it's opened up my mind to read books I otherwise would not have read AND it gives me a night out with friends! :-) MUSIC: I love music. To say I have a wide range of taste in music would be an understatement! I love everything from classical to hip-hop to top 40 to rock n' roll to heavy metal. What music I'm listening to at any given moment all depends upon my mood / state of mind at the time. :-) Besides listening to music, I also enjoy playing it. I am self-taught on the acoustic guitar and also took lessons / played the French Horn for 12 years. ENTERTAINMENT: I love to go out to dinner, to the movies (I *love* movies!), concerts, or to the theater. I also like going out or spending time with friends & family. I also like quiet evenings at home. I'm pretty easy to please: I'm just as comfortable spending quiet time at home as I am going out on the town with friends. TV: I never used to watch much television but lately I seem to be watching quite a bit of TV -- especially since I now have TiVo! :-) Some of the shows that I enjoy are: (on ABC): Desperate Housewives; (on CBS): CSI Las Vegas, CSI New York, CSI Miami, Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, The King of Queens, NCIS, Two and a Half Men, Oprah; (on NBC): Deal or No Deal, ER, Will & Grace, Saturday Night Live; (on Fox): American Idol, Bones, House; (on HBO): The Sopranos, and Real Time with Bill Maher. TECHNOLOGY: I love computers and any other kind of "techno gadget"! My family and friends lovingly call me a "big geeky nerd" and I'm proud of it! :P I love playing around on my computer and I love surfing the Internet. I also like tinkering with other technology-related items, such as cell phones, TiVo, and etc. I find the whole "Technological Age" fascinating and exciting. GAMES: I love to play cards, board games, game consoles (PS2, and etc.), and computer games. ACTIVITIES / OUTDOORS: When the weather is nice, I love to be outside. I love to take walks, go for bike rides, and etc. I love living near the water (Lake Mighigan) and spend time walking along the lakefront. I love the water and even when I'm on vacation I love to walk along the nearest river, lake, ocean, and etc. |
