We all have times in our life when we just don't think we can
go on. We get down and discouraged when things don't always
go smoothly. We don't like our boat rocked or our comfort zone
shaken up.
Be it our children disobey or disappoint us some way, our spouse doesn't understand our feelings, our boyfriend/girlfriend gives us heartache, a family member rubs us the wrong way,(don't they all?! *smile*), our friends betray us, the money ran out before the month did, going to work gets to be a drag, or whatever trial is thrown our way to jolt the day out of order, we get disheartened and feel like giving up...throwing in the towel, even over a little thing (seemed major at the time) such as a cracked windshield (why me, Lord?) or a dog putting a hole in your waterbed.(I let the dog live). Or even spilt milk. *smile*
We don't understand some of the past things that have haunted us in our adulthood. We sometimes grow weary of living.
You are not alone. We have all experienced some of these things and will continue to.
Life is full of heartache and
anguish. Jesus never promised it would be a smooth road, but take heart....WE WILL OVERCOME WITH THE LORD, for with the Lord we will experience during
the trials and
when things are thrown out of wack in our life.
People will look upon our lives with wonder and scratching their heads looking bewildered as to why we aren't crying or fussing (or swearing *grin*) when so many things go wrong for us.
We must count it all joy, because the joy of the Lord is our strength to make it through each second of the day.
Let the world wonder why you are so joyful and happy all the time. Remember, they are watching you. Sooner or later they'll want what you have...JESUS!!!!
Proverbs 3:24 "When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."
Psalms 91:1-11 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge
then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels
concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
Psalms 34:4 "I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears."
Psalms 84:11 "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."
2 Corinthians 1:3,4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."
Matthew 6:25-28 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin."
Acts 2:25-28 "David said about him: "`I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'"
I Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
TOTAL TRUST FOR ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
Psalms 3:1-8 "LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people."
Isaiah 43:18,19 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
