CAN'T

By Kenneth L. Skinner

"CAN'T" is a little word

But powerful in it's aim.

It keeps things from happening.

It plays a deadly game.

"CAN'T" befriends the loser

And gives him good excuse.

The blame for their failure

And turns their conscience loose.

Refrain from saying "CAN'T"

In your daily toil and test.

"Won't" is a better word

That explains it the best.

It's good to see a winner

Singing merrily along the way,

They never think of "CAN'T"

Or permit their mind to sway.

Be counted amid the winners!

Don't be among the faint.

Always do your very best.

Refrain from using "CAN'T."
