REFLECTIONS

When I get to the end of my road

And I look back at where I've been,

Can I say I had a good life?

What will my God say then?

 

Will He say I stepped on a man

To get where I wanted to be?

Or will He say I offered

To bring him along with me?

 

Will He say I cared enough

To give my very best?

Or will He say I took,

Not caring about the rest?

 

Will He say I utilized

The talents He gave me to use?

Or will He say I faltered,

And did my talents abuse?

 

Will He say I helped my friends

Be what they wanted to be?

Or will He say I belittled them

And kept the best for me?

 

OH WAIT!  My life's not over.

I'm not at the end of my way.

I have a chance to change some things,

He's given me another day.
