Darlene's Rigaroni
1 pound hamburger meat
1 pound pan sausage
1/2 large onion
2 large cans tomato sauce
3 Tablespoons red wine
1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt or 1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small can tomato paste
1 can water (tomato paste can)
1 bag spiral noodles
1 pkg. pepperoni slices
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 or 1-1/2 pounds mozzarella cheese, grated
1 can black olives
Brown hamburger and sausage; drain. Add onion,
tomato sauce, red wine, worcestershire sauce, garlic
salt, tomato paste and water. This makes the sauce.
Let the sauce simmer for about two hours.
About 1/2 hour before serving, cook noodles and drain. Mix sauce with noodles and add pepperoni slices, mushrooms, and black olives.
Place 1/2 of mixture in large roasting pan (deep).
Add 1/2 of the cheese. Add remaining mixture, then
top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until
cheese is melted - about 20-30 minutes.
