SKILLET COOKIES


          1 stick margarine
          1 (8-oz.) package dates, chopped
          1 cup sugar
          2 teaspoons canned milk
          2 eggs, well-beaten
          1/4 teaspoon salt
          1 teaspoon vanilla
          2 cups Rice Krispies
          1 cup chopped pecans
          1 can coconut (optional)

          Place margarine, dates, sugar, milk, eggs, and salt
          in skillet over low heat and cook for 15 minutes.
          Remove and add vanilla, Rice Krispies, and nuts.
          While warm, take out and mold into little balls.
          Roll them in coconut. If you leave off coconut, roll
          them in powdered sugar.
