LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear Debbie,

Only in theocracy is a man free from men, for he serves not men but God. Here lies the secret of that child-like obedience, so incomprehensible to the outsider, which the Catholic gives freely and cheerfully to his church. That is no corpse- like obedience or slave mentality, but a profound religious act, an absolute devotion to the will of Christ which rules the church, a service of God. And so this obedience is not cowardly and weak, but strong and ready for sacrifice, manly and brave even in the presence of kings. It is faithful even to the surrender of earthly possessions, yes even to the sacrifice of life itself, offering itself to the Christ who lives in the Catholic church. I thank God daily for His Catholic church and the tremendous gift of being a member of Holy Mother Church. I love her. I am home.

Yours in Catholicism,

V.K.of Bowling Green, Ohio

Dear V.K.,

You seem to feel that somehow a theocracy allows you to serve God and not men. But the image in which these men present their deity and the manner of worship they promote are unscriptural and blasphemous.

Men are fallible. It makes no difference if they wear street clothes, rich attire, or priestly garments. Pride, money an dpower corrupt even those who profess to be “religious leaders”. this leaves the average layman almost totally dependent upon priests who perform thier various acts, few of which do not require money, and leave the layperson with a false sense of security. This “security” based on the premise that the Catholic church was divinely instituted and has the power to sacrifice Jesus Christ hundreds of thousands of times every day, is a spurious nothion nurtured by the RCC and shown historically to be built on flase foundations. The lack of time and space prevent us from going through each item and comparing it to scripture, although they have all been dealt with in previous issues of The Good Newsletter.

While time remains we must be certain we are listening to the voice of Jesus. There are so many deceivers and false prophets we must always check what we are being told against the scriptures. Our Lord said he would give us the

“...Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (Jn.14:26)

Again in John 16:13,

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

In 1John 2:27 we see:

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” These promises are not just for a few select men, who claim to be the “apostolic successors”, but a promise to all those who call upon the Lord.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh....” (Acts 2:17)

“And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jer 31:34)

Once we are “...born again, not of corruptible see, but of incorruptable, by the word of God....” (1Pet.1:23) He then takes up residence in our hearts and is continually with us all our days, teacing, exhorting, comforting and systematically un covering sins and weaknesses that must be dealt with or repented of.

This spiritual growing process will continue until Jesus comes back to take his people, the real church, to be with him.

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1Thess.4:15-18)

Jeremiah 17:5 & 7 warns us:

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD...Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”

Proverbs:19:20 tells us:

“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.” (Prov.19:20-21)

Obedience to God is paramount, but said obedience must be according to what He requires, not a “church” or organization’s ideas of what is required. The only way we can be sure which is the proper way is by constant vigilance concerning doctrine and remaining in Christ and His authority by adhering to those things He has set down in His word.

The fact that Catholics are not suppose to question authority or engage in discussions with non- Catholics so as to view all sides of the issue is a hindrance to their spiritual growth. Due to the over-riding force of ecumenism, perhaps this has also changed in recent years.

God gave us a brain for a purpose. He said, “Come now, and let us reason together...” (Isa.1:18) We must look at all the facts in light of the word He gave and through the spiritual discernment resident in those who trust and follow Him.

I understand obedience, devotion, service and sacrifice, even unto death if that is what is required. I am fully prepared to lay down my life if it comes to that. But, when and if that time comes, I will not lay it at the feet of a greedy political/religious institution, but solely at the feet of Jesus Christ, my Lord and

Savior.

In His Service,

Debbie Rucker

Former Catholics For Christ was offered an opportunity to write articles for The Cutting Edge ministry. They received the following letter from a priest:

To Whom It May Concern,

Thank you for the information regarding the pagan Shiva Priestess giving the traditional mark on the forehead of pope JP2. We have been doing research on the popes, especially the last four. Considering what he has been doing, this is not really all that surprising. However, because many skeptics, especially in the Vatican 2 Church, as we call it-since it has not been "Catholic" since at least the days of the alleged Mason, pope John 23, will want more information regarding the photo, e.g., the name of the newspaper or periodical in which the photo was originally printed, the date of the newspaper or periodical, etc., etc., would it be possible to put us in touch with FORMER CATHOLICS FOR CHRIST? They may find some of our research material interesting as well? If they are on the Internet, would you possibly have their e-mail address?

God Bless You!

Thanking you in advance, “Father” Michael

Dear Sir,

The information you are seeking concerning the photo of the pope receiving the mark of the adorers of Shiva can be found from the book Peter, Lovest Thou Me? Here is a quote from pages 155-156:

"Still at Madras on February 5, 1986, 'A sugarcane, fashioned into the form of a cross, signifying a Hindu offering to a carnal god, was brought into the presence of the Pope. A little later, during the offertory procession, a coconut was carried to the altar, a typical Hindu offering, which they offer to their idols. Finally, a man placed sacred ashes on his forehead. It was not a matter of Tilac but of sacred ashes or Vibhuti. (*164) Three days earlier, on February 2, he had received on his forehead the Tilac or Tika, the red powdery paste of the Hindus, the sign of recognition of the adorers of Shiva. (*165) *164 ‘Msgr.’ Lefebvre, op. cit. p.177. *165 La Croix of February 6, and 'I' Express' of February 7/13, 1986, with photo."

I’m not surprised to hear you say taht the Catholic church has not been “Catholic since at least the days of the alleged Mason pope John 23”. I attended the Catholic school before, during and after Vatican II, and saw all the changes from a system taht swore she could never change. Praise Jesus, the true faoundation, who never changes. (Heb.13:8)

Rebecca A. Sexton

Dear Rebecca,

Thank you so much for you help and especially for quoting from the two pages! In the past this pope has been photographed wearing all kinds of strange head-coverings, including that of a witch doctor! The place where I saw such things was unable to give any references of when and where taken and also whether or not he had been initiated into any of those pagan religions as well! By the way, you might be interested in the book: Il pastore venuto da lontano ("The Pastor Has Come a Long Way") by Stefano De Andreis and Marcella Leone, printed in Milan by Magma in 1978, 110 pages.

It has been claimed that the name of the woman John Paul II married during World War II will be found somewhere in it. Please let me know if you have any success finding it. Again, thank you so much!

God bless you! “Father” Michael

Dear Sir,

Thank you for the information. I have read in Avro Manhatten’s book Murder in the Vatican that it has been rumored that the pope had a wife, and that she died during the war.

“During World War II, between 1939 and 1944, he became identified wth many activities never accurately recorded except for the fact taht at one time...he did various jobs, had worked in a chemical factory, associated himself with Marxist guerrillas, and had women companions . Indeed, rumour had it that he had been a married man” (Murder in the Vatican, Manhattan, 217).

Pope John Paul II’s participation in pagan rituals goes against God’s command to:

“...have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” (Eph.5:11)

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (Jas.4:4)
