Clinton '92 campaign promises and reality, with commentary. Our additions in [brackets].

1. "I want a leaner bureaucracy and more investment"
   "Investment" read "welfare".
2. "I will streamline the federal government and change the way it works, cut 100,000 bureaucrats and put 100,000 new police officers on your streets of American cities"
   Well, the travel office personnel were fired, illegally I might add. That's a start.
   We have a confirmed 3 police officers Clinton added by this bill, in Wyoming, MI. But it only pays for them for 3 years.
3. "We can give you a country again where we are pro-growth and pro-environment. Where we are pro-business and pro-labor. Where we are pro-civil rights and pro-civil order. Where we are pro-family and pro-choice"
   Is this why he signed the biggest tax increase in history (1993 tax deal). Is this why he vetoed Republican legislation, at least twice, to support families and give them tax breaks?
4. "I will elevate economics; create an Economic Security Council similar to the National Security Council"
   Creating another useless department? Is this related to the "leaner beauracracy" above?
5. "My plan offers $50 billion in new investments over the next four years--new incentives for the private sector, and investment tax credit, urban enterprise zones, new business tax incentives, research and development incentives and others"
   Like Americorp, where 'volunteers' are paid up to $7.50 per hour? No wonder McDonald's is short of labor. None of this ever happened.
6. "Middle-class taxpayers will have the choice between a children's tax credit or a significant reduction in their income tax rate"
   Um, this never happened, people. He vetoed budgets with this tax credit twice, once in Dec 95, another in Jan 96.
7. "[What] would work is to raise the top tax rate on people with gross incomes above $200,000 to 35% or 36% and put a surtax on people with incomes of $1 million of more a year"
   Soak the rich, who create the most jobs. This will reduce jobs, Bill.
8. "I will not raise taxes on the middle class to pay for these programs"
   Wrong. Clinton's 1993 tax increase was the largest in history. He raised the top amount taxed for social security and raised the SS tax rate also. All to pay for a Ponzi scheme.
9. "We should pay up--and pay now--the past dues we owe to the U.N."
   Hasn't been done yet. Still waiting...Not that we need to.
10. "I support a strong American role in the UN and with the EC to end Serbian aggression. I have supported the use of multilateral military force if necessary"
    Translation: we should spend your money so we can be the police to the world. US has not taken a strong role in the Serbia situation. We sent troops there but they just sit there and do nothing which makes a difference.
11. "My administration will stand up for democracy and buttress democratic forces in Haiti, Peru and throughout the Western Hemisphere"
12. "My administration will reduce our forces, but maintain a credible presence in Europe and Asia"
    Meaning: the Clinton administration gave US missle secrets to the Communist Chinese in exchange for a few hundred thousand dollars in "donations", thereby comprimising US and Pacific region security.
13. "U.S. troop levels can be safely reduced to a force in the range of 75,000 - 100,000"
14. "A national apprenticeship program for non-college-bound young people so they can get good jobs, bully fund Head Start--those things are not terribly expensive"
15. "To the fathers who have chosen to abandon their children by neglecting child support. Take responsibility for your children or we will force you to do so"
    Clinton vetoed Republican welfare proposals to do just this.
16. "You live in a country that makes it harder to raise children than any other country in the world. You vote for me and I'll give you family values."
    Clinton vetoed legislation to give a $500 per child tax credit in Dec 1995 and Jan 1996. He cheated on his wife with many women, then lied about it under oath. This is perjury. Is this the family values you want to teach your children?
17. "We'll restore the dignity of blue-collar work by guarenteeing an apprenticeship program to every non-college-bound student in the USA."
    More welfare, means more taxes.
18. "Those who can [after two years on welfare] will have to go back to work, either by taking a job in the private sector or through community service"
19. "My first priority would be to pass a jobs program to introduce it on the first day I was inaugurated"
    Another welfare program for people who could get real jobs anyway. Americorp costs an average of $32,000 per person per year in some states. How many college grants would that cover?
20. "My strategy puts people first by investing more than $50 billion each year for the next four years to put America back to work--the most dramatic economic growth package since WWII"
21. "Vote for me and we'll produce more natural gas in Texas"
    Why? Will there be a bean bonanza in Texas?
22. "The West should establish a $6 billion fund to stabilize the Russian ruble"
    Help the Russians after Reagan defeated them during the Cold War? While there are still Americans out of jobs and homeless on the street? I don't THINK so! Yes, this was done, to prop up rich bankers, at the expense of the US taxpayer.
23. "I propose that the US must take the lead in putting together a bridge loan to help Russia make the transition from its old system to its new economy"
24. "With the dwindling Soviet threat, we can cut defense spending by more than a third by 1997"
    How can it be dwindling if Clinton wants to give them $6 billion more?
25. "If I become president, we will keep a kosher kitchen in the White House"
    Does Kosher mean you'll try to cover up all the scandals with Mike Espy, Ron Brown, Vince Foster, Whitewater, Madison S&L, Lewinsky, Web Hubbel, McDougal, and others?
26. "Under our health care system, all Americans will have access to quality and affordable health care through coverage from their employer, or if they're unemployed through the government"
    Get a clue, Bill. ALL socialist health care systems have failed and offer poor service. Like England, Canada, etc.
27. "As soon as the Pentagon issued a study which said there was no basis in national security for disciminating based on sexual orientation of Americans who wish to serve in the military, I said I would act on the study"
28. "I am going to send Al Gore to Capitol Hill to take the lead in passing our program in the first 100 days of the new administration"
29. "I would bring in all the players within the first 60 days and tell them to develop a national health care plan"
    All the players from the health care industry only, hand picked by Hillary, illegally, again, who met in closed sessions (i.e. these sessions were not open to the public or reporters.)
30. "The Clinton-Gore Administration will view the support of generic industrial technologies as a priority mission"
31. "I promise you I will never bash public employees"
    Disclaimer: this does not include firing the travel office personnel.
32. "I would want the first judge I appointed to believe in the right to privacy and the right to choose"
    And the right to favor Clinton in the Paula Jones case? And in the Lewinsky case? And in the 1996 fund raising scandal?
33. "At the very least, 10 % of the $76 billion that the government now spends each year on research should be redirected from the Petagon's research effort to civil efforts"
34. "When it comes to AIDS, there should be a Manhattan Project"

35. "I want to increase federal funding for research, prevention and treatment [for AIDS]"
36. "I want to appoint one person, man or woman, to oversee and coordinate all federal efforts related to this issue [AIDS]"
37. "We can pledge right now that for every dollar we reduce the defense budget on research and development, We'll increase the civilian research and development budget by the same amount"
38. "We need not just a new generation of leadership, but a new gender of leadership. This is the minority I enjoy being in"
    Is Bill this mysterious new 3rd gender?
39. "The United States should lead the fight to slow global warming, instead of dragging our feet and ignoring important scientific data"
    These last few winters were DARN cold!
40. "A Clinton-Gore Administration will not permit American firms again to sell key technologies to outlaw states like Iraq"
    But they will give it away to China, who will give it to Iraq. For a small donation, that is.
41. "I certainly will give every consideration to Hispanic candidates for the Supreme Court"
42. "The old adage 'mi casa, su casa' will be true when my house is the White House"
    Except when Hillary's billing records for the Whitewater case are subpeonaed. Or when someone fires a gun at the Whitehouse, or someone flys a plane into the Whitehouse, or Clinton kills Ron Brown, or Espy takes kickbacks, or he's busy with Lewinsky, or...
43. "All the money by which we reduce defense research and development I would put immediately into domestic, commercial research and development"
    Meaning, welfare programs.
44. "I want people like some of you in this audience to be a part of a Clinton Administration, not because of or in spite of your sexual orientation, but because America needs you"
    And if you can make a small donation to my campaign...
45. "If I become president, I will continue to reach out to the American people. I'll get back on a bus when I'm president. I'll go back and have town meetings and let ordinary people ask me questions. I will not hide behind the walls of the White House"
46. "After this election is over, I will continue to reach out to the American [wallet]"
47. "If I become president, I will have a cabinet that looks like America"
    Full of corruption, with almost everyone being investigated, resigning, dying under odd circumstances...
48. "Vote for me and we'll conserve more energy all over America"
    Does this have to do with the bean bonanza in Texas?
49. "We will link China's trading privileges to its human rights record and its conduct on trade and weapons sales"
    Wrong. China's human rights and copyright violations continue but Clinton voted to renew it's Most Favored Nation status every year. The potential market of US goods in China is just too large to pass up. Also, Clinton invited a Chinese arms smuggler over to the White House so he could donate money to the DNC.
50. "We'll seek to raise the average [MPG] goal for automakers to 45 miles per gallon"
51. "We'll pass a national bottle bill to encourage recycling by creating small deposits on all glass and plastic bottles"
