LIVER, VENETIAN STYLE, WITH ONIONS

1 1/2 lb veal or baby beef liver, sliced about 1/4" thick
1 medium onion
4 tbsp oil
salt
pepper

Finely chop the onion.
Stir fry it until golden. Then place liver slices in a single layer over onion and cook over high fire for about 3 minutes per side.
Add salt and pepper just before serving.
