3-4 lbs spare ribs
2 cups boiling
water
1 onion, sliced thin
1 lemon, sliced thin
Heinz or Kraft Barbecue sauce
Place in a suitable dish meat with 2 cups of very hot water.
Cover with Saran wrap and cut a slit in each corner.
Bake for 30 minutes at level 5.
Cover meat with thin slices of an onion and of a lemon. Cover
again with Saran wrap, cut a slit in each corner and cook again
at level 5 for 60 more minutes (turn the dish around halfway
through).
Preheat the conventional oven at 400 F.
Remove the water from the dish, place the meat in a casserole
suitable for the oven, cover with the sauce and bake uncovered
for 30 minutes at 400 F.
If desired, replace the purchased sauce with:
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup hot water
Juice of 1
lemon
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp Worcester
Sauce
2 tbsp honey
Mix all ingredients and microwave in a glass casserole for 7 minutes at level 10 ( stirring 3 times).
