This dessert can be prepared on a side table, if you dare.
1 cup dark brown sugar
3/8 cups unsalted butter
3 tbsp orange juice
2 bananas, sliced and cut in half lengthwise
In a skillet at medium heat place the first 3 ingredients and stir until foamy. Then add the 8 pieces of banana and move them around, and turn upside down until limp.
At this time remove from the heat, add to the skillet 1/2 cup banana liqueur or dry sherry and take a match to it to light up the alcohol.
As soon as the flame is down, ladle the bananas and syrup over vanilla ice-cream in 4 individual cups and serve before the ice-cream melts.
