I was deeply moved by your story of adoption. My husband and I adopted two girls when they were abandoned by their mother in the city of Chicago. They were 15 mos and 3 years old when we got them. They are now 12 and 14 years old. It has been a long strug le, but we are making it day by day. Reading your story made me realize that perhaps their mother felt she had no choice either. My mother and older sister also gave up babies to adoption, not because they wanted to or felt no regard or responsibility for the babies, but because they had no real choice. I pray daily that I find these two lost members of my family. Thank you for sharing your story.

you are so awesome to be such an unselfish person and do what you feel was best for your child at that time in your life. I too had my first baby at the very young age of 14, and thank GOD my parents were very supportive of me, they helped me through tha difficult time, i realize many girls out there do not have the support that i did, and i realize giving your child away is the most difficult decision to make, but it takes a very strong, mature, loving person to realize that they cannot give their child things that they deserve and to give them up for adoption to give them that chance- BLESS YOU AND ALL THE YOUNG MOMS THAT MAKE THIS DECISION

ohhhhh truddle---- the song page with sunshine really got to me... i sang that to my oldest daughter almost everyday-it was the first song she ever knew...and i sang it to may second dd and when i was pregnant with ds they sang it to my sweet baby boy - a d when he is upset they sing it to him now. my oldest, when i am sad sings it to me because she knows it is my favorite song in the world.(because it is memories of my kids)(she has no idea why) phhhhh if i were talking to you i would be blubbering mess ol i even made a wav of her singing it (however i can not get it to record the whole song-) but i have part of it- she is 3- that was a wonderful story. i am planning on sharing the wav in soup after i figure out how to reduce the size 8 seconds but 1 mil b tes hummm) let me know if ya wanna hear it :o)) oh linked to your page off texmom's

It seems to me that you are a very careing person and I think that is the best quality anyone can have in a life time. I am 27 years old and a mother of 2. One boy 3 1/2 years and one girl 3 weeks old. With both I had an extremely hard time with delivery. Both by C-Section but not with out many complications. I have now desided to end the breeding section of my life becau e my little body can't handle any more pregnancies. But I do find it hard to make the final decision on the topic. I feel you must be one of the strongest people around. Being about to make a decision like the one you made when you where 16. Do you have any children now? I have chatted with you several times at the Soup but I only ventured to your home page for the first time this evening. Truddle it sounds like you have had some very hard choices to make. I can't say what I would have done in your situation because I have never been there. But it looks like someone up above has been watching over you and your family. I am glad to hear t at you have met your daughter Shelley. I think I can understand how knowing she hasn't held your decision against you would help to complete your life. At least now you don't have to constantly wonder how and what she is doing with her life and how her dopted family treated her.
