4. Elizabeth BURLESON was born about 1710 in Wales or England. She died before 1782 in NC. She was married to Daniel Shipman, Sr. who was born about 1720 and died on Nov 8, 1798 in Warren County, Kentucky . (Researchers on this line have differing opinions as to whether he was born in Wales, New Jersey or Germany.)

Daniel Shipman Sr.'s first wife was Elizabeth Burleson who was born in Lunenburg, Virginia to Aaron and Sarah Burleson. (Aaron is found on the 1748 tithe list for that county.)

Elizabeth died before 1782 in North Carolina. They had the following known children:

5.Jacob Shipman b: Abt 1746 Brunswick, Lunenburg, VA d: Abt 1794 in Asheville, Buncombe, NC mar. Sara Gage McMinn b: Abt 1750 North Carolina
6.Lucretia "Lucy" Shipman b: Abt 1753 mar. Jeremiah Gage
7.Phoebe Shipman b: Abt 1755 mar. Isaac Crawford
8.Rebecca Shipman b: Abt 1757 mar. Jacob Francisco
9.Mary Shipman b: Abt 1759 mar. ? Johnson
