NOTE:Heinrich was born in the village of Wogenhausen, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland and later moved to Mattstall, Alsace. Heinrich was a brick or tile maker in Matstall. He was 44 years old when he arrived in America with his family. The journey to America was divided into three stages. The first part down the Rhine to Rotterdam. The second, from Rotterdam to some English port, in this case Deal, where ships were provisioned and clearance papers obtained. The third was crossing the Atlantic on the ship "Samuel." The ship arrived in Philadelphia on August 17, 1733. From there they went to Muddy Creek, Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where they made their home.
Heinrich and Anna Catharina Carle were married January 07, 1713 in Saarland Germany by Friedrich Ludwig Euler.
Heinrich received a Land Warrant in 1734 for 277 acres of land. According to the Land Office, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - Patent Book AA2 - page 257 - Date: 25 January 1737 - Survey 3 May 1738 To Henry Holler, County of Lancaster, yeoman
Description: Track of land situated in Cocalico Township bounded by vacant land; land of Jacob Reem; land improved by George Hedge. Whereas Henry Haller by his Deed poll of the 4th day of Feb. 1737 did grant bargain and release and confirm the said described Track of Land unto Nicholas Lasher of the said County of Lancaster, yeoman. Consideration: 48 pounds 18 shillings and 8 pence - paid by Nicholas Lasher on 29 April 1761.
