NOTE:Will dated April 4, 1647, and exhibited at Court June 8, 1648. He gave one half of his property to his wife, whom he made his executrix, the rest to his children, when they became fifteen years of age. John Hazell, Walter Palmer & William Cheesborough, Supervisors. Witness, Cheesborough. Richard Bullock, aged 25 years, testified that after the death of Winchester, he enquired of his widow, how she would dispose of the children, and she answered her husband has taken course for them, and left them to the overseers of his will. Her being then sick and dying, the 16th July, 1647. Signed John Brown and Richard Bullock.

Obituary for Henry Carroll Winchester:
An accident victim was former railroad official
Funeral services for Henry Carroll Winchester, Sr., who died Wednesday night at the Union Memorial Hospital from injuries received Sunday night when he was struck by an automobile, will be held at 4 P.M. today at Emmanuel Protestant Episcopal Church, Glencoe, Baltimore County, Maryland. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Field and Honore Palmer, of Chicago.

Mr. Winchester was a former vice-president of the New York, Westchester and Boston Railroad and former vice-president of the Railways Company General. He was one of the founders of the Bachelors' Cotilion and the old Atheneum Club.
He is survived by a son, H. Carroll Winchester, Jr., of Richmond, VA; a sister, Mrs. J. Sparhawk Jones, of Philadelphia, and two grandchildren, Henry Carroll Winchester, III, and Miss Dorothy Eden Winchester.
