1996 This one is my baby. Not the youngest one. Just a big baby. She cries over
everything. I couldn't imagine her going into the first grade this year.
How can she survive the kids teasing her if she cries all the time. Just
recently she had to start wearing glasses. I was worried about how she
would do at school with the other kids, but they think glasses are neat.
She says aren't any problems at school but I have my doubts. The teachers
don't seem to have any complaints either. In fact she is rarely ever disciplined
for anything. She is just a quiet student who does what is expected of
her. She's a very helpful little girl as long as it's assigned to only
her. If it's a group project she won't do anything unless she can see her
sisters doing it also. If they don't she cries. Hopefully, it's just a
stage. Another stage she seems to be going through is Night Terrors. They
are driving me crazy. Anyone know what to do about a child who wakes up
screaming night after night and then can't answer you when you ask what's
wrong because she isn't even awake? I could use some help. Her favorite
things to do are the same as Vanessa's. She also loves to play games on
the computer. I don't have enough educational stuff for her to do though.
Know any good programs?
UPDATE (November 13,1996): Not much new with Kristin, except that she is even more interested in her niece and baby sister than anyone, is always begging to hold them. My goodness, she is so petite, they are almost as big as she is!! I can always count on her to hold a bottle for me while I do something else. Can't get her to quit that crazy crying though. Any suggestions? She is doing very well in school, forgets nothing she is taught. That can be annoying too. She is forever telling us, "the teacher said......". Kristin tends to forget it doesn't matter a whole lot what the teacher said when she is at home, we tell her what to do and how to behave when she is not in class. She will learn that the rules for school are for school and the rules for home are for home sooner or later. |

UPDATE (May 13,1997): Wow, how can one child remain the same for so long? The only thing new with her is that she is in a new neighborhood too and is playing Coaches Pitch Baseball this year (her first year too). She is going to be pretty good at it once she gets over being afraid of the flying ball. Still the big baby she always was and we are working on that, but on a bright note the night terrors have decreased tremendously. That is a relief for us let me tell you. She is doing really great in school. |
