Anastasia "Stacy" (infant)

Stacy (2002) & bunny, my Nana sent this to me :)

April 2002 - We found out we were expecting December 17 2001. On January 28 we had our first sonogram done. We still are not sure if it is a boy or girl. Around the middle of March we will have another sonogram done and will find out then what we are having.

UPDATE:
It's a girl. Definitive proof in the ultrasound/sonogram indicates this will be a girl.

UPDATE:
Not only is the baby a girl, she is born. As of April 6th 2002, 9:03am, weighing 4 pounds 3 ounces. She was approx 6 weeks early so her lungs are still developing with the aid of an oxygen bubble. So far she doing well and we look forward to the removal of the bubble and having her come home.  There is more to this story and when I have time to sit down and type it out, I will tell you all about it.

Update: On April 11th she was taken off of the oxygen bubble and we were allowed to begin visiting with her in the nursery, shortly afterwards (a couple of days), we were allowed to remove her from the nursery and visit with her in a private room.

Update: April 19th, Stacy was released from the hospital and we are now settling into a routine at home. We are extremely happy to have her home.

Update 5/10/2002: Stacy had not been gaining weight as well as the doctor wanted her to as of May 1st, her weight was only 4 pounds 11 ounces, so I changed her feeding pattern a bit and increased her formula. She had 5 days to put on an additional 5 ounces (Which would bring her to 5 pounds.), or be readmitted into the hospital. I am pleased to share with you, in that 5 days she gained 8 ounces making her weight 5 pounds 3 ounces. We were so proud that she gained enough to be able to stay at home with us. She now appears to be growing much better than before the 8 ounce gain. Additional milestones, she consistently lifts her head when laying on her stomach and tries to pull herself forward when in a sitting position. She still sleeps about 20+ hours a day but when she's awake her favorite thing to be doing is sitting in Mama or Daddy's lap (or laying in our arms). She has even smiled once, pretty sure the rest of those smiles are nerves or gas. hehe

Extra about Stacy: Stacy is baby #9. Stacy will be the youngest with 6 sisters and two brothers (which have both passed on) Stacy came into the world with 3 nephews and a niece ready to love a brand new aunt that they can actually grow up with.

On Monday April 8th, we took some amateur photo's of little Stacy in the nursery. Look at the photo album (link to follow) to see how tiny she is. :)

We have been adding pictures to the photo gallery every few days. Now we have pictures of her since she was taken off of the oxygen bubble and we were able to take her out of the nursery to visit with her.

Stacy has a page on Babiesonline.com Everything written on that site is written here, but there is also the addition of a photo album there that I have not yet moved here.

Good news. Stacy is gaining weight steadily. As of July 8th, she was weighing in at a healthy 9 lbs. 12 oz.

Update on weight: on August 11th, she weighed in at 11 lbs. 6 oz.  Technically she is now 4 months old, but biologically she is still just over 2 months and doing great.
