1989 - December 2002

Shana My Aunt Jenny and Uncle Peter adopted Shana thinking she was all grown up......she weighed about 45lbs. Well, to their surprise, the Vet said Shana was only about 6 months old and wasn't finished growing yet! The Vet was right, Shana grew and grew and grew, but it didn't matter because she won the hearts of everyone. She loved to play ball and take walks with Uncle Peter. When Jessica was born she was very gentle and especially patient when Jessica was learning to pull herself up. She also helped Aunt Jenny clean the crumbs off the floor! Jessica and Shana became best friends and then baby Ryan was welcomed with a sniff and a big lick. Shana was the sweetest, most lovable, gentle giant....we miss you Shana!

Cooper 1983 - June 10, 1999 Cooper lived with Aunt Joann, Uncle Dennis, Candy the Lab and Friday the cat in Dutchess County, New York. He was a spoiled 'only dog' until his sister Candy came to live in his house, took over as 'top dog' and ate all his toys. He was plenty spoiled though. Cooper was a momma's boy and preferred to be with his mommy Aunt Joann who couldn't resist his please give me a cookie look. He was so cute and such a good boy but he sure did beg a lot. His favorite pastimes were sitting next to Mommy, following Mommy, sleeping at Mommy's feet and watching Mommy.
Candy July 1986 - January 26, 1998 My cousin Candy, the dog I told you about who ate all of Cooper's toys, was a Labrador Retriever. When she was younger she loved to swim, chase deer, wild turkeys and the cat. When she was getting on in years she liked taking a bath, watching deer, wild turkeys, and the cat. Her favorite pastimes were riding in Daddy's truck, eating, sleeping and eating. Candy was definitely Daddy's girl. She always kept an eye on Uncle Dennis to make sure he didn't get in his truck without her! Candy's picture was beautified by Joann's talented friend Mele. Thanks Mele!

	I Miss You My Friend Toby was a beautiful Golden Retriever who lived around the corner from me with his family Ronnie, Tom and Chris. My family and I met Toby's family because Toby and I were attracted to each other. They say you should always trust your dog's 'people' instincts and I know it's true because my family and I not only adored Toby but like his family too!
Toby and I loved to chase each other taking turns being the chaser and the chased. Toby was very gentle and lovable and I think I loved him not only because of his good looks but because Toby let me have my way (smart boy!).
