I've been researching local churchbooks for over 10 years and am able to read German, Norwegian, Danish, Latin and even some Polish and would be glad to do lookups in local churchbooks. I currently work at St. Joseph Parish, which would make lookups there especially easy.

Thumbnail histories of various businesses, organizations, and surnames. Many group pictures with names listed, e.g., Johnson's Band in 1910, the 1904 confirmation class of Trinity Lutheran Church, the 1905 baseball team.

Contains a list of residents of Arcadia, Bear Lake, Brown, Filer, Manistee, Maple Grove, Onekama, Pleasanton and Stronach Townships in about 1918. Similar to a city directory but for rural areas of the county.

It covers the history of Manistee, Pioneer reminiscences, Churches, Lodges & Secret Societies, Agriculture, Schools, Hospitals, Volunteer Soldiers....
