Old Postcard Photos of Manistee

All very graciously submitted byxxxxx xxxxx.

I'm sorry, but the submitter of these old postcard photos has requested they be taken off the Internet and I must submit to her request. I have left portions of the text as it may be of some help to you.

Here's a postcard photo of the old high school. It is postmarked 1915. Someone said it was torn down in the 1950s, but has not been able to verify the exact date. Steve, the historian at the Manistee Historical Society told says that the city rings the old high school bell on 4th of July...

This is the Black & White card of River Street, downtown Manistee, postmarked 1906. You will note the trolley and two bicycle messengers.

Mercy Hospital. Manistee, postmarked 1920. Another neat old building of that era.

This one was not mailed, so no postmark...BUT, someone has written on the back:

"This shows where the big Manistee River empties into Lake Michigan. Back of that is Lake Michigan and farther back is the little Manistee River. The boat you see is dredging the channel. You can see the pier at the outlet. Orchard Beach is on up the shore about two miles above that."

This postcard was not used, but from the type of automobiles, I'd guess 1920-1930s.
