Wondering if someone has run across James and Nancy Drowley around
Manistee.
Have an obituary on James, which states interestingly that his wife,
Nancy, preceded him in death by two months.
Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, which your Cemetery page tells me is
in Manistee.
As I've found with many older obituaries, there are no dates on James, so
I don't know when he died. He is my GGGG uncle, and was born in Kent
County, England in 1823.
He and Nancy E. Rowe were married in 1852 in the U.S. somewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Willing to share any information
that I have.

I am searching for my grandfather, Robert Francis PERRY, born in
Mannisten, Michigan in 1864. I assume this is a typo for Mannistee.
According to his death certificate, his father's name was Steven Perry
and his mother's name was Mary Hurley. I have had no luck requesting a
birth certificate from Mannistee County or the State of Michigan. Does
anyone know if Mannisten and Manistee are the same place?
At some point the family must have moved to the Bay City area because
that is where my Aunt and Uncle were born. My grandfather married
Emmanuella Kaiser, who was from the Bay City area.
Thank you for your assistance in my search.

Seek info abt the family and descendants of my great-grandparents,
John KEMPKA and Mary Ann KROLL, who came to Filer City with their
children Frank, Hanna and Antonina abt 1867. In Filer City a second
son, Charles was born in November, 1868 and a third daughter, Mary,
was born abt 1871. (Charles is known to have used the given name
Stancel.) Family records show the original family surname as KEMPKA.
However, it appears as KOMPA in the 1870 census, and as Compky in the
1880 census. Since abt 1900 it has been recorded as COMPS. John
KEMPKA was murdered in Filer City Christmas Eve, 1871. (See article
in the Manistee Times, 12/28/1871.) Sometime thereafter, Mary KROLL-
KEMPKA re-married one Thomas WETUTSKI or WETUCKI. The 1880 census
recorded Thomas and Mary as living in Stronach; it also recorded a
fourth daughter, possibly named Nellie or Ellie, born to Mary KROLL
abt 1877.
Hanna was also known as Anna and is believed to have married one
Jake WELBIS or WELBES. Antoninia was also known as Paulina and is
believed to have married one Andrew KASHUBA. Charles married Francis
DURALSKI, daughter of Michael DURALSKA and Catherina SUPERCHINSKY.
Charles and Francis were my grandparents, and I have a great deal
of information on their descendants for anyone interested. However,
ANY information anyone may have on any of the above individuals, their
ancestors or descendants would be greatly appreciated.
