J.M. (Jay) Ingalls
Sun Jan 5 17:03:59 1997
INGALLS,James, b. 9 Jan 1802, probably in Jefferson County, NY.
Father possibly Benjamin Ingalls, who died in Ellisburg/Henderson,
Jefferson County, NY, about 1830. Benjamin is listed in Burleigh's
1903 "Ingalls Genealogy", but no children are listed. A Seth
INGALLS also lived in Henderson at the same time as a Benjamin
and James. All three are mentioned in the 1820-1835 Henderson
Town Meeting Minutes. James married Malinda SNOW in 1830 in
Henderson NY. We believe her parents were William and Sarah SNOW
who are buried in the Snowshoe Point Cemetery, just west of
Henderson NY. The Flint Genealogy Society Cemetery Records state
that Minor Porter SNOW was Malinda's brother. We have quite a
lot of info on descendants of Malinda and James, and some info
on the descendants of Minor Porter SNOW. Glad to share Gedcom or
printed data. James and Malinda were early settlers in Burton
Twp, Genesee County MI, ariving in 1835, after selling land in
Clayton, Jefferson County NY. Any info appreciated. This Ingalls
family also links to MILLER and GOODRICH families and other Flint
area families through marriages of their children. GOODRICH
families could have the earliest and most complete records of
this family, because James and Malinda sold their farm to their
daughter Lydia and her husband Milo Sawyer GOODRICH, and lived
with them until they died.
Lydia (INGALLS) and Milo GOODRICH lived in Saginaw for while,
and are buried in **Oscoda County, Michigan.**

Since 1990 I have been researching the ancestry (as well as searching
for undiscovered descendants) of James K.P. Ream (he went by
"Park") and Mary E. ("Mamie") Deyarmond-- they were
married in Elmer Township and lived in Mio just after the turn of the
century.
Park Ream disappeared-- quite literally-- off the face of the Earth
sometime after 1925. There are Deyarmonds in Oscoda County today and
Reams in/around the Detroit area.
Is there any way I can search Michigan death records between 1925 and 1930
on-line? If you're interested, I'd be happy to post what I know about
Park and Mamie on your site for others.
Please feel free to pass on my name and address info to anyone you know
who might be able to help me solve The Disappearance Of Park Ream.
Thanks!

Near the Au Sable river's "Comins Flats" there is a very old
cemetary
that has a very small number of graves....under a dozen. Following
a side path about 50 or so feet from it's entrance lies 4 or 5 small
headstones
marking the graves of the Davis family. All I know from area history is
that this was the first black family to reside in Oscoda county in the
very early
part of this century. No one talks much about the Davis family or where
they came
from. They apparently were well liked in the community but a tragic
accident along the river occured that changed their lives...I am very
curious to know more about them and thier genealogy.
My curiosity insists that there is more to this family people need to
know. Does anyone
know anything at all about them!
Thank you.

Trying to locate death information on William C. Mooney and Mary (LeMunyon)
Mooney who resided in Oscoda County in 1884. Their residence was listed as
Atherton Twp (now Big Creek). Their daughter Daisy died in 1884. Cannot
locate their deaths. They were not in Oscoda County either. I have checked
the surrounding counties of Alcona, Alpena and Presque Isle. No listings.
I believe they died before 1900. Checked 1900 soundex for Michigan, no
listing for them and checked their children's census information and they
were not listed with them. Can anyone out there help?
Thank you, Iris

I am trying to locate anyone interested in exchanging information on the
Schark surname. My great grandparents, Rudolph and Albertina (Kusch)
Schark, settled in Detroit, Michigan around 1893. They came from
Germany, but I don't know exact location in Germany they are from. My
great grandmother, Albertina had a sister already living in Detroit when
they arrived. I know there are Schark families living in Michigan today,
I am trying to find out if their ancestors could have been related to my
Schark ancestors.
