This is one of three letters that I have found that was sent to my great-great-great grandfather George Munday. This one was sent to him by his brother-in-law Thomas Blincoe who lived in Breckinridge Co., Ky. I have typed it just as I have it. All the spelling and punctuation are original.
Breckenridge County Ky March 12, 1824Dear Brother
I take this opportunity to inform you that we ar all well at persant and hop thease few lines may find you and your family in the same state of health Jane Munday and her family is also well at this time. I have got a horse from J Lam (or Law) in part of the not had against him the horse is nine years old this pring (spring) and good size and the price of the horse is one hundred dollars through its thought to be a high price I thought I had better take the horse at that price than to get nothing I have nothing more at presant but still remain your most respectful brother-in-law.
