William Munday's Will
This is the will of the man that I believe is my great-great-great-great-grandfather. I have transcribed it exactly as it is. Except for the fact that I captialized and made bold all the last names to make them easier to find. Hope you find it interesting.
This is from the Breckinridge Co. Will Book 1 pg. 11
In the name of God amen I William Monday senior of Breckinridge County Kentuck being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Munday her heirs and assigns one negroe girl Maria and all her future increase I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Rachael Munday her heirs and assigns one negroe girl named Mary and all her future increase I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Betsy Munday her heirs one negroe girl named Maria Gennet and all her future increase I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Munday and my daughter Rachel Munday and my daughter Betsy Munday their heirs and assigns two negroe boys Wallis and Tom also the one third part of the one thousand acres of land on which I now live the above mentioned negroe boys Wallis and Tom and land to be equally divided among them I do also give and bequeath unto my son Nathaniel Munday his heirs and assigns one negroe boy named Peter also one waggon and a full set glass I hereby give and bequeath unto my son Nathaniel Munday and my daughter Ann Munday and my daughter Rachel Munday and my Betsy Munday their heirs and assigns all my horses cattle hogs and stock of un kind also my farming utencils and household furniture to be divided amongst them I do also give and bequeath unto my son Nathaniel Munday and my daughter Ann Munday and my daugther Rachel Munday and my daughter Betsy Munday their heirs and assigns the property and every other thing that I have above willed to them that much I give and bequeath to them exclusive of all the rest of my estate I do also give and bequeath unto them all the remainder of my negroes for the term of seven years for their own proper use and benefit during that time provided they continue with my son Nathl Munday if they do not I positively declare they shall not receive anything and if at the same time these negroes shall remain in my son Nathaniel Mundays possession for his own proper use and benefit during the term of 7 years if they do continue with him they shall receive 2/3 of the clear profit that is by these negores made my son Nathaniel Munday and my daughter (sic) and my daughter Ann Munday and my daughter Rachel Munday and my daughter Betsy Munday shall never be charged one penny for the service of these negroes and again they shall never be liable for any accident or accidents happening to any thing which they may have in their care a possession at any time after the expiration of 7 years it is my wish for all my children to come forward and share an equal part of these negroes last mentioned in my will I do also give and bequeath unto my son Nathl Monday and my daughter Ann Munday and my daughter Rachel Munday and my daughter Betsy Munday an equal part with all the rest of my children of these negroes which I gave to my son Nathl Munday and my three daughters above mentioned for the term of seven years as though I had never gave them anything I hereby give and bequeath unto my son James Munday and my son Robert Munday and my son William Munday and my son George Munday and my son Nathaniel Munday also my daughter Ann Munday and my daughter Rachel Munday and my daughter Betsy Munday an equal part of these negroes last mentioned in my will I hereby appoint my son James Monday and my son Nathaniel Munday executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.

There wasn't a inventory or appraisal for this estate. I would like to be able to concretely prove that this is my George W. Munday's grandfather. If anyone has any more prove please let me know.
