Lucinda Sippy was born at Mount Jackson, Beaver County, PA on June 29, 1817, daughter of a Frenchman by the name of Trimo, who later chanted his name to Joseph Sippy. She married first Sterling Croby who died in Iowa. She later married Mr. Hershey. Mrs. Hershey died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Josephine Bowers Redman, at Wayside, Dawes County, NE, October 2, 1912 and was buried at Chadron, NE. Fort Kearney Chapter marked her grave.
