But the hour is coming, and now is,
when the true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and truth;
for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

John 4:23

Have you ever felt in your heart how hard it is to live in today's world with such a strong emphasis on material "things", wealth and self satisfaction at all costs! How do we keep our marriages and families together in a world that is constantly pushing us choose it's way?

And do not conform to the world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2

Do you as a believer in Christ have an attitude of resistance to the world and its values, goals and activities? To maintain a strong and healthly Christian marriage and family we need to turn from the tremendous temptations the world throws at us. We must constantly balance our lives in Christ while we walk on this earth, staying strong in our beliefs so that we do not fall.

As Christian husband and wife and as Christian parents we need to be an example to to others, in love. We must carefully examine which direction we are heading and leading others, if in fact we claim to have fellowship with Christ, and possess His salvation. If we are not living proof in our lives by going "against the flow", we are deceiving ourselves and possibly even contributing to the fall of others! You may not realize just how many people are looking and watching your decisions and your behavior as a member of the Christian faith. Not to mention that your children, will learn more from you by watching you ,then they will ever learn from the "words" uttered from your lips. Don't just tell them.....show them the way by making your life God's example.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness,
we lie and do not practice the truth.

1 John 1:6

Jesus said we must worship in Spirit and truth. As we come to Him we must come in sincerity and with a life that is directed by the Holy Spirit in all of our activities in the world. We cannot set aside the "truth" of the scriptures and remain Christian. In Spirit and in truth we make decisions about our ourselves and families that directly reflect what is in our heart and to the extent of our devotion to God and to His word.

God is Spirit,
and those who worship Him must worship
spirit and truth.
John 4:24

(This is the only acceptable worship to God)

Those who have fallen will tell you how it was not some "one" big ugly decision that they made that caused their life to fall apart,...it was the piling up of all the "little" things that eventually gave way. Every "little" ungodly decision, as small as it may be, begins an erosion process that chips away at a Christians core beliefs. Then one day you might find yourself saying..."I just don't see the harm in it", and then are too busy "in the world" to weigh your decisions anymore. Each and every decision that we make must be weighed with the question, is it morally good, Godly and would be acceptable to God? If it is, then it is God's will.

It may not feel like it sometimes, but it truly is easier to live "pure", and in peace, in a world that goes against you - then to live with the world on your side,....unknowningly on the edge of destruction, with a heavy heart.

What choices are you making?

Each day to grow more humble,
Yet stronger in Thy might;
More valiant, Lord, to carry
Thy standard for the right.

Each day to grow more gracious
More sweet and gentle, too;
Yet braver, more courageous,
More firm, more pure, more true.

That I may grow more like Thee;
In me Thy Spirit shine;
Transformed from grace to glory,
Touched by a power Divine
