In the name of God Amen, I Nicholas Romine,
of the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey, being of sound and disposing
mind and memory blessed be God considering the uncertainty of life do make
and ordain publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in
manner and form following that, as to say -
First of all, it is my will and I do hereby
direct my Executors herein after named to pay all my just debts out of
my personal property.
First item, I give bequeath and devise unto my son David his heirs and assigns for ever, all that farm on which I now live, together with all the improvement thereon by him, paying the several legacies as directed in this, my last will.
2nd Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son John, one hundred dollars to be paid by my Son David to him, his heirs, or assigns six months after my decease.
3rd, I give and bequeath unto the heirs of my Son Nicholas one Hundred dollars to be paid by my Son David to them, or their heirs or assigns which are four in number and now living to be great ??? ??? amongst them.
4th, I give and bequeath unto my three Daughters, viz., to Caty, Sarah, & Margaret, each one hundred dollars to be paid to them their heirs or assigns by my son David.
5th, All the above Legacies and bequeath may be paid by my Son David, his executors, heirs and assigns out of my Real Estate six months after my decease.
6th, I give unto my sons John and David and grand son John N. Romine, all my wearing apparel to divided equally amongst them.
7th, I do further give and bequeath unto my son John, the heirs now living of son Nicholas and my three Daughters, viz. To Caty, Sarah and Margaret, all my personal property to be divided equal amongst them, that is to say John one share, the heirs of Nicholas one and my three daughters Each one.
8th, I give unto my Daughter Margaret my cubbard now in my possession.
Lastly, I do nominate and appoint my beloved sons John and David, also my grandson Nicholas son of my son John my Sole Executors of this my last will and testament & hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this seventeenth day of March in the year
of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and thirty.

Whereas I Nicholas Romine of the County
of Bergen and State of New Jersey have made and duly executed my last will
and testament in writing bearing date Seventeenth day of March now I do
hereby declare this present writing to be a Codicil to my said will
and direct the same to be annexed hereto and taken as part hereof and I
do hereby give bequeath unto my son
John Twenty five dollars to be paid by my son David, also to
the heirs of my Son Nicholas, the sum of twenty five dollars to
be paid by my son David, also I give and bequeath unto my three daughters,
viz. The further sum of twenty five dollars Each, that is to say, to Caty,
Twenty five dollars, Sarah Twenty five dollars and Margaret
Twenty five dollars. The above legacies and bequeaths I do gave to
them, their heirs and assigns forever.
The above legacies must be paid by my son David, his heirs Executors or assigns out of my Real Estate two years after my decease.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and thirty.
