I love to plan menus with the seasons. Warm soups and casseroles in winter, harvest in fall, but come summer it is time for fresh food. I add space in my menus for seasonal dishes. In summer I like to add strawberry desserts like strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, parfaits and muffins during strawberry season. In place of soup night we will have cold submarine sandwhiches. It's also time for grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, kebabs and vegies. Fruit tastes so good in season so don't forget to add fresh fruit salads to your menus. It might also be good to have a few potluck menus for entertaining or for the picnics you are invited to.
