My name is Casey Cockatoo and I am almost three years old. When I was very tiny I came to live with my Mom and Dad and Amanda and Pirate. My Mom taught me to eat and it was very difficult, she tells me, because I only liked my food at a certain temperature so she always had to stop and reheat my formula, but I grew up just fine. I live in a big house with lots and lots of toys because I am a Goffin and I get bored very easily. Mom is always telling me to "Step Up" so my dumb brother Pirate thinks that is my name and is always saying,"Come 'ere, Step Up". What can you expect from a Macaw? I can only leave my cage when there is someone to babysit me because I love to go on "Search & Destroy" missions. I have found tv remotes, portable phones, furniture legs, and around the holidays I even found lots of Christmas presents. Boy, was that fun, that pretty paper just shredded so easily. I don't know why Dad was so mad when he had to rewrap them but he said some really bad words that day. I talk a lot for a Goffin, so they say. I guess I learn from my brother who never shuts up. I know he taught me how to say "Stick 'em up" and stick my wings up, but after I do that, I say "Yea" & he doesn't. I say lots of other things too, but mostly I like to make my own toys. My Mom is so impressed that she takes Pics of them, and some lady who lectures about birds wants to show them to people and talk about me. It's no big deal, I just make some knots and stuff.

One of my favorite things to do (when I am allowed out) is to clear the floor. Everyone always picks up their feet when I am on the floor and if Amanda is there, I puff up and scream "Get back" and chase her right out of the room. Once I nipped her tail and also nipped Pirates tail too. You should hear them holler!! I know I can be bad, but there is never a night that goes by that I don't give my folks a goodnite kiss, so I can be cute too. I will see you later with more of my escapades.
