Bonnie Brae Scottish Festival & Highland Games

June 1, 2002

Well, here I am for the third time hosting these games in honor of the Clan Leslie! And thank goodness the weather wasn't a repeat of last year (we had water up to our shins and the sky was overcast all day, threatening to spill over with more rain at any moment)!

My husband and children accompanied me to these games, which are the most picturesque in NJ. Later appearances were made by fellow members of the clan: Harold Leslie Wilcox, Douglas Wilcox and his daughter Meghan, and Thom Moore and his daughter.

No new guests came by but it was still a beautiful day all in all.

Just a note, these games attracted more Clans this year than ever and also more Pipers for the competition. There were over 500 pipers in the massed band at the opening ceremony and the march off.
This is half of "Clan Row", as it is affectionately referred to at Bonnie Brae
Here I am, posing in front of my Clan Leslie Tent.
This is one third of the total number of pipers present for the opening ceremonies.

Here is my son, Drew, and Larry Smith, a regular at the Clan Campbell tent, which is usually stationed next to mine, since I have Campbell ancestry as well.
