Failtè! This was my third
season at the Monmouth Celtic Festival.
These games are cosponsored by the Oceanport P.B.A. and the Pipes and
Drums of the Atlantic Watch.
My father (and fellow member of the CLS)
Harold Wilcox and my daughter Sara helped me all day at the tent
this year. This was their first year helping me out here. Thanks Dad &
Sara!
It was a very quiet day. Some speculated that the poor attendance was
due to First Communions. It couldn't have been the weather as the skies beautifully
blue and there was a light breeze. However, despite the lack to visitors, it
was still a good day to be out and about for the Clan Leslie Society! See you there next year!
This is our 2002 tent setup. I've added a Clan
Leslie board (on the left). My father, Harold Leslie Wilcox is seated under
the tent. He was a great help to me by coming along and assisting with the
tent all day long.
This is my Leslie board. The left panel states the
Society's goals. The middle panel lists the various known spellings of
Leslie and all the Septs as well. The right shows the Leslie Shield, the
Rothes Coat of Arms, and a Leslie pennent.
Here's Sara enjoying the bright sunshine in Oceanport.
Doesn't she look cute with her little wreath and scepter? She's wearing one
of my Leslie T-shirts.
It was indeed comfortable in the sunshine but the air was
cool, hence the need for a jacket. Here, my Dad takes a quick snooze in the
afternoon sun.
