In the 1887 Trade Directory the family are at 34 Bickley street,Moss Side. This was on the corner of Bolt Street. Bolt Street is off Darncombe Street, between the numbers 39 and 41.The occupation of Edwin is a grocer.
Charles Neesom (son of Edwin and Elizabeth Neesom): was a long distance runner with medals, was an apprentice saddlemaker, worked at S.H. Perry & CO. LTD. Provision Merchants ( distributors of groceries) as a manager of the provision warehouse on Bent St. in Cheetham Hill. The main office was at #3,5 &7 Todd St.
Catherine (Gunning) Neesom (wife of Charles Neesom): was a Doctor's cook general and a P.O.W. Mail Censor in WWII in central Manchester. She was also a working (volunteer) member of the Conservative Party in Manchester.
