It's just too easy sometimes to wear the rose colored
glasses and pretend that there are no unloved animals out there
starving, being mistreated or worse. Most of the critters you see on
my site are from such places. I will urge anyone who is considering
getting an animal of any kind firstly to do your homework on the
species. Don't count on the pet stores alone to give you the full
scoop. I recommend getting a hold of local shelters and refuges first
to get real idea of the animals good and bad traits.
Secondly make sure once you've
done your research that you have the time to devote to this critter.
Never get an animal if there is even the remote thought in your mind
that it's on a trail basis, and if it doesn't work out you can always
sell it to someone else! This is the number one reason for so many
homeless animals.
Thirdly if you have done all
your research and have the time please consider a rescue animal
before all else. I can't even begin to explain the joy my critters
have brought me , and even though they may have had there little
quirks at first. Any animal no matter what the species will thrive
when given a home with unconditional love and respect. it's always
been those little beginning quirks that turned in to such individual
characteristics and given my critters there own little
additudes.
If anyone would like help or
info on any of my critters please feel free to contact me anytime.
I've also done a lot of wildlife rescue. Hope you are enjoying your
visit and come back again.:^)
