Federal Agencies in Nevada

There are numerous federal agencies that operate in the state of Nevada. The one which comes to mind first is the Bureau of Land Management. BLM controls about 87% of the state of Nevada.

This is the rocker for the BLM, which is worn above the patch.

There are numerous BLM offices all around the state. BLM was formed in 1946 when the General Land Office and the Grazing Service were combined. There are two different law enforcement branches of the BLM. These are the Rangers, who wear this patch, and the Special Agents, who don't wear a uniform.

ABOVE RIGHT - This is the standard BLM patch.

ABOVE - This is the standard DEA patch, usually worn on raid vests.

To the left is the new DEA Las Vegas patch. Do you feel lucky?
Left is the standard FBI seal patch.

Right is the FBI Vegas hat patch. It is worn sideways like this, so that is the way I put it on the page.

There are several other agences of which I don't have patches. These include, but are not limited to:

U.S. Forest Service
U.S. Parks Service
Lake Mead National Recreation Area
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
This is a very colorful and large patch. It measures 5" in diameter! This is a federal task force, and the reason I put it here is because it has several Nevada landmarks in it.
This is one patch back of the Hoover Dam Police. This is one of those really tough to get patches. I don't know what the current patch looks like.
This is now one style back for the Hoover Dam Police. The rocker was worn above the patch. There is a new one out.
This is a new patch, thanks to Mark Holloway. This patch is worn at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It is run by the National Park Service. In Nevada, the NPS will also be found at Great Basin National Park and Death Valley National Park. Most people don't know it, but part of Death Valley is in Nevada. There is a Ranger Station in Beatty. Mark was nice enough to send me this patch. Thank you Mark, for the nice addition to my collection!
