If you temporarily change the title of a Master Source to prefix
it with an asterisk (*), this will cause that title to "float" to
the top of the list of titles, which are sorted alphabetically.
Now, when you make a citation, the source you want is always right
at the top of the list. The keyboard sequence then goes like this:
-
[select field to receive citation]
-
CTL+S enter source citation
-
ALT+S locate master source
-
ENTER accept selected title
-
[enter citation specifics here]
-
ENTER citation complete
If you can avoid entering specifics, like page numbers,
the pattern goes pretty quickly.
-
The
"Title of Source" field is a Fastfield. Entering the first characters,
to the point of uniqueness, should recall the whole title. You can speed
this up by temporarily prefixing the title with a unique character.
-
You
may want to Copy (CTL+C) the title to the clipboard, then
Paste
(CTL+V) it into the Title of Source field for each new citation.

Don't forget to undo
any changes to the Master Source title when you are done! |
