From Winchester, VA: Take Rt. 50 West for 12 miles. Turn left on Rt. 259. Continue for 14 miles to Capon Lake. Turn left on Rt. 16, Capon Spring Road, crossing bridge, and continue 4 miles to the resort. From the Washington, D.C. area (I-66 West): Take I-81 South to the 2nd Strasburg exit, #296. Turn right on Rt. 55 West and follow 12 miles to road on right maked Capon Spring Grade.** (Exactly 2 miles after crossing bridge at Duck Run.) Follow this dirt road for 3 1/2 miles into the resort. From the South (Harrisonburg): Take I-81 North to the 1st Strasburg exit, #296. Turn right on Rt. 55 West and follow 12 miles to road on right maked Capon Spring Grade.** (Exactly 2 miles after crossing bridge at Duck Run.) Follow this dirt road for 3 1/2 miles into the resort. ** Driver's note: Capon Springs Grade (Rt. 609) begins in Virginia. If you cross the West Virginia State Line while still on Rt. 55, you have gone too far. From other locations or by private plane, please contact me for specific directions.
