GREEN FAMILY
The Green family began with Joseph Green in England. He had a son John Green born in December, 1919. He married Ann Smith January 3, 1841 in the parish church of Dudley, West Bromwich, England. Ann Smith was the daughter of John Smith. John and Ann had the following children: Jane Green born about 1843 in England, Thomas Green born 6/16/1844 in England, George Washington Green, Joseph Green, Margaret Green who married Charles Greaver, Mary, Elizabeth who married John Alexander, Sarah Green, and Lavenia Green.
Thomas Green is my ancestor. He was born 6/16/1844
in England and died 1/24/1920 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA.
He is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Dalton, PA. He married Mary
Ann Collins, born in Baltimore 8/31/1848. Mary Ann Collins was the
daughter of George Collins and Caroline Keilholtz. Thomas and Mary
Ann had the following children: Harold, Andrew, Nelson, Bert G. Thomas
E., Carolyn, and James Archibald who died in infancy. Carolyn Green
was born 11/21/1888 in Scranton, PA and died 2/21/1951 in Scranton, PA.
She married Joseph LaRose son of Nelson LaRose and Eliza Young. Joseph
was born 9/16/1884 in Scranton, PA and died in 1959 in Clarks Summit, PA.
