Stopped for food and fuel.
Kona's runway is right next to the ocean. You wont find much beach here though. Most of the shoreline is lava rock. We don't get to land in Kona very often. This was a fuel stop for my orientation flight to the Big Island in '95. I was the co-pilot on this day and Bob Bottom was the PIC (pilot-in-command) giving me the full tour.
