DROPPED DEAD ON THE ROAD
--------------------
A. G. Armstrong Was Bringin a Bull From Annsville to Rome When He Was Stricken.

Alexander G. Armstrong of West Rome, dropped dead on Saturday afternoon, on the state highway,
about three miles from Taberg. In the morning, in company with Stuart Armstrong, aged 11, he
drove to Annsville to the home of his nephew W. C. Armstrong, to get a yearling bull. He left
the farm about 3 o'clock on his way home. The bull was tied to the rear of the buggy. Mr.
Armstrong was walking and the boy was driving. A short time after leaving the farm, at a point
about three miles from Taberg, Mr. Armstrong was stricken with heart trouble and fell to the
road. Charles Fetterly passed the scene a short time afterward and he drove to the home of
W. C. Armstrong and the latter identified them as those of his uncle and they were removed to
his home. Coroner H. W. Thomssen of Utica was notified and decided that death was due to heart
disease.

Mr. Armstrong was in his 70th year. He was a son of the late George and Adelia Armstrong,
was born in Annsville and all of his life was spent in that town and Rome. He is survived by
his adopted son, J. Stuart Armstrong of West Rome, with whom he had resided for the past 13
years, and one sister, Mrs. R. F. Russell of Coonrod. Mr. Armstrong was a well known man and
his many friends will extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

70th year.

-- Prayer will be held at the home of his sister, Mrs. R. F. Russell, on Tuesday, June 18,
