Roman Dies In Her Home At Age of 69

Mrs. Anna D. Armstrong, 69, of 710 W. Liberty St., widow of Jesse F. Armstrong, died at her home
early today after a brief illness.

She was born in Utica on Sept. 27, 1892, daughter of Michael and Ellen Dorney Donovan, and was
educated in Utica schools.

On Sept. 3, 1919, in St. Agnes Church, Utica, she and Mr. Armstrong were married by the late Rt.
Rev. Msgr. Albert Hayes, now deceased. Mr. Armstrong died October 15, 1960.

Mrs. Armstrong was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Altar Society.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Harvey J. (Anna) Stace, Mrs. Thomas S. (Jean) Henry and Mrs.
Raymond C. (Roberta) Price, all of Camden; Mrs. Aileen A. Young, Rome; Mrs. Howard F. (Alice)
Coleman, Coonrod,and Mrs. Alex J. (Betty) Scales, Rome; 25 grandchildren, and a brother, Gerald
F. Donovan, Utica. A son, Jesse F. Armstrong Jr., died July 1, 1956.

Funeral services will be held at the Thomas A. Cox Funeral Home at 8:45 Friday and at 9:30 in St.
Mary's Church where a solemn requiem high Mass will be offered. Interment will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 Wednesday and Thursday.
