Ex-Teacher Dies at 76

CAMDEN -- Miss Augusta M. Loevenguth, 76, 13 Church St., died Sunday at the Lillian Bell
Healthfort. She was a former school teacher.

Miss Loevenguth was born in Camden, Oct. 28, 1882, daughter of George J. and Susan R. Pilkington
Loevenguth. She was a graduate of Camden High School. She was also a graduate of Oneonta Normal
School. She was a member of the United Church in Camden and its Missionary Society and Ladies
Aid Society; Hillsboro Ladies Aid; Historical Club; Hillsboro Garden Club, and was a past matron
of Freeport Chapter 586, OES, of Freeport, L.I.

Miss Loevenguth taught schools in Glen Falls, and in Freeport, L. I., where she was principal for
about 20 years. She retired in 1941. She made her home in Camden for the past 10 years.

Surviving are a brother, Earle Loevenguth, Camden; a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. E. Loevenguth, Camden;
two nieces, Mrs. Neil Cleveland, Camden, and Mrs. Tillman Wenk, Sayville, L. I.; two nephews,
Wilson Loevenguth, DeWitt and George Loevenguth, Calif,; several great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the B. A. Sanborn and Sons Funeral Home, Camden, with Rev.
Ernest W. Bittner, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery, Camden. Friends may
call at the Funeral Home this afternoon and evening.
